GPS Receives Donna Nigh Foundation Grant
Brandy Parks with Sooner Success worked with Kara Walters to apply for a Donna Nigh Foundation Grant. We were awarded just over $6700.00 to purchase items that will benefit at least 15 severe and profound students. This grant will fund the project titled: Active Learning: Integrating Learning and Play in a Sensory Integrated Classroom. The grant will be used to purchase items to provide sensory integration tools and techniques for students that require extensive intervention with a multitude of sensory needs. In addition to sensory integration, some of the items are for adaptive play, feeding, sitting, and daily living skills. Thank you Brandy Parks and Kara Walters for your hard work!
