Greetings, My name is Colton Privette, and I serve as the music and honor choir teacher at Guthrie Upper Elementary School. I proudly count myself among the alumni of Guthrie Public Schools and hold a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. I am also delighted to share my life and musical passions with my spouse, Niki, who also comes from Guthrie.

Beyond my teaching responsibilities, I maintain an active presence in the realm of classical music. I currently hold the following positions as a classical musician on the French Horn: Fourth horn with the Enid Symphony Orchestra, Principal horn with the Oklahoma Chamber Symphony, Principal horn with the Oklahoma Community Orchestra, and Principal horn with the Celebration Orchestra at EFBC in Edmond. My dedication to music education has spanned eight years, during which I have had the privilege of collaborating with the Guthrie High School Band since the fall of 2016. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to share my passion for music to the elementary students of Guthrie.
