Welcome back everyone, to the 2024-2025 school year!
It has been my pleasure to teach at Guthrie Junior High for the past four years. I also have five years of experience abroad as a teacher. I work closely with parents and teachers to integrate the other students into regular classes as seamlessly as possible. It is this integration that brings about the greatest personal development. It is my expertise to plan adaptations and accommodations for each student, study their individual needs, and create an Individualized Education Program that will also meet their specific needs. It is fascinating to imagine how each student will respond. I find nothing more satisfying than helping these amazing students to learn in their unique manner.
My first experience with Special Olympics last year has been a huge influence on my life, and I love the fact that it gives my students the opportunity to participate in sports that they might not otherwise be able to.
In addition, I have been accepted as a graduate student at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Special Education.
