Hey there!! Welcome to my home page! I am not new to Guthrie, but this is my first year at the High School. I hope you are ready to have a great year! This is my 11 year year teaching and my 7th year at Guthrie. This year I will be teaching: English III, Reading for Pleasure, Film as Literature, and Creative Writing. I am so excited to be here at the High School. My goals are to help students develop a love and passion for reading and writing. I want them to find their genre and niche. I know we will develop a classroom community of writers! I grew up in Oklahoma and Missouri, and I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma, in Edmond. I am currently working on receiving my masters at the same university for secondary Ed. I live at home with my wonderful husband and three adorable furbabies. I enjoy all things nature, writing, reading, movies, and animals. I know that if we work as a team and show grace and compassion, we will have an incredibly successful school year!
