Shana Fields, GUES Librarian

Welcome from the GUES library! I have been the GUES librarian since 2018. I LOVE books for all ages and can't wait to help your kids find books that they love. I believe there is a book for everyone - and I look forward to helping your students find those books! If you have any questions, please let me know. I would be glad to suggest books or authors that you can share at home.

My bachelor's degree is in Fine Art/Art from OU; I have a MSIS (Masters of Information Systems) and a Library Media Specialist Certification from Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow (a masters program which I loved and in which I earned the Outstanding Graduate Student Award for Spring 2020). I was a scholarship winner from the Oklahoma Library Association (OLA) and was recognized as the Guthrie Certified Staff Member of the Month for January 2019.

I have had a passion for reading since I was a young girl and my 5-6th grade librarian got me hooked on The Boxcar Children books.
