Welcome back everyone, to the 2023-2024 school year!

This is my seventh year with Guthrie Public Schools and fourth year as a school counselor here at Guthrie Junior High School. Previously, I taught students Science and Social Studies at Guthrie Upper Elementary School. My ambition as school counselor is to help each student work to their potential and also to assist parents and teachers in achieving this goal. I feel that collaborative effort between the counselor, student, parents/guardians, administration and teachers is necessary for student success.

I have two sons - both attend UCO. One is a junior, majoring in Theater Management, and the other is a senior, majoring in Computer Science.

The first step toward tolerance is respect, and the first step toward respect is knowledge.
