     The 2022-2023 school year marks the beginning of my 20th year in education; 18 of those years as an educator for Guthrie Public Schools.  It has been a privilege to invest my time and career in leading our next generation towards becoming lifelong productive citizens.

     My experience in education includes:  3 years as Assistant Principal of GUES, 8 years as a 4th Grade Classroom Teacher, 1 year as a 1st Grade Reading Interventionist, 2 years as 6th Grade Math and Reading Interventionist, 2 years as the GUES Instructional Coach, and 3 years as 4th & 5th grade Math Interventionist.  

     Throughout my time at GUES, I have always cherished the relationships that I have built with our GUES students.  Being a citizen of Guthrie over the years has had an impact on me in-and-outside of the school.  It is a joy to watch our students continue through school as they become older and to watch them succeed in all they do.  I cherish each opportunity I can when catching up with previous students.  It's a warm feeling to see kids turn into adults that make us proud.

     It is a privilege to be given the opportunity to serve our community and stakeholders as the Assistant Principal of GUES.  Each day, I aim to support all GUES students, educators, and families in meeting their educational and social needs.  I respect and appreciate our community and businesses for their loyalty in volunteering and financially supporting our school through the various initiatives we have pursued.  I visualize GUES as a place where all students feel safe, valued, loved, and pushed to reach their academic goals.  Together, we all make this building the wonderful place we love.

     Hobbies that I enjoy outside of school include gardening, cooking, golfing, reading and spending time with my family.  I have a wonderful husband, John, and 3 loving children who attend Guthrie Public Schools, Kenneth-19, Elizabeth-17, and Clayton-14.
